I'm always trying to challenge myself a little bit and when someone posted this vimeo.com/3287755 video on a forum I just had to have a go at it.

I'm not particularly sure who the photographer or the model is but the key to the video hee is that the flash is actually on top of his camera. In the work I've been doing recently and this type of shoot you would regularly find the flash off in a corner.
The photographer here has really gone all out and done something different!

I had to try and replicate it. Click the picture to view my attempt at the montage at the end of the film:


It was taken as a small side project at a film I was helping to shoot. It's no where near as good as the original but I like to think of it as a good stab at producing a similar style. Some of the shots in this are shot on camera and some are off camera to keep my mind on the actual job at hand which was the film audition.

April has been very busy with a lot of different things going on!
Some of it was just for practice and my love of shooting, some of it was for a little bit more. I want to be able to bring a little bit more to my wedding photography rather than just the classic shots. Images like these should bring something a little bit extra to the day!
I'd love to show off all of my pictures but I updated the models/portfolios section yesterday with a new slideshow but I must admit this is one of my favourites:

This was taken on the top floor of a car park looking over manchester. I love the clouds and the drama they bring.

There's still plenty more left to do in April so it's going to be a fun rest of the month!
I do want to start posting updates up more regularly and I imagine I will once June starts.

May is going to be busy for me. The final part of my firefighter training starts May 5th so I could be empty photographically over this month. I'm sorry for all of the couples whose weddings I haven't been able to shoot in May, I would have loved to but training is intense and there every chance I wouldn't have been able to dedicate myself to your dates.

However, busy season begins on June 6th with Kara and Toffs wedding in Whiston Hall.
