Katie and Steve, Engagement, Palms Hill Wedding photography Shropshire

The other day I travelled to Palms Hill in Shropshire to have a scou/engagment shoot of an awesome little venue. I love these little known venues, often owned and run by the residents of the house they put their heart and soul into making wedding days special. They also tend to only hold a few weddings per year making it all that more special.
Palms hill looks like one of these venues and while I didn't get to meet the owners yet, the grounds look amazing and I can't wait to take some wedding photographs. It looks like one of those wedding venues where I could turn up to and create different photographs time and time again!

Rachael and Alistair, Engagement shoot, Staffordshire wedding photography

Yesterday we went for a little adventure to a place I haven't been before. I met up with Rachael and Alistair for a lovely engagement shoot. We had a chat about their wedding coming up later in the year and managed to get some lovely images just before the rain came in :)
It sounds like it's going to be a wonderful day, bring on wedding season.

Laura and Mark, Engagement, Compton Verney

A bit of an impromptu post here. I've had this for a while but I've never been able to get around to editing. I headed down to the tremendous art gallery Compton Verney in the West Midlands a few weeks to meet with Laura and Mark for a chat about their wedding in July.

It was a beautiful day and I was truly blown away by the location so we thought we might as well have a little engagement shoot for a bit of fun :)

To make it more fun, I'd only brought along an 85mm lens. I set myself the targets of getting the art work and interiors in and we took the shots in as short time as possible :)

Mounted signing boards!

I've a huge back log of work at the moment which is why there haven't been many posts from me for a few weeks. With a wedding each week it all gets very busy this time of year. Not to worry though because I'll be posting some great highlights over the coming weeks showing off my new styles and sneaky peaks of 2013.


For now, I wanted to pop these two images up of my mounted signing boards. I've had a lot of orders for these this year. They're great fun and I love having a little more time to interact with couples on an engagement shoot (which is where we get the main image :).

Paul and Alison - The Upper House, Barlaston

Paul and Alisons wedding at The Upper House in Barlaston was wonderful. I met these two on a number of occasions before their wedding and I've loved popping over for chats :)

I've enjoyed being in their company as much as I did editing their photographs - so much so that I want to share a few more than normal with you. I've shared a lot of my wedding portrait photography in previous posts so I thought I'd show a bit more of my candid, reportage or documentary photography - it has so many names I don't know what to call it.

To make it a little more fun, I haven't storyboarded them, it's purely a random pull from Paul and Alison's pool of photographs.

Elizabeth and Chris - Wroxall Abbey

Yesterday I met up with Elizabeth and Chris at Wroxall Abbey in Warwickshire to have a chat about their day. After a natter we decided to have the quickest engagement shoot. After chatting so long we had only 5 mins left so I quickly grabbed these including my first ever fully working Ryan Brenizer method pic :)

Expect this to go on for a while

I met the cutest couple the other day for their engagement shoot.
They've chosen one from the shoot to go onto their mounted signing board (But I won't show that one, it's a surprise :P)
We shot it at the church they're booked in to be married. Really excited for their wedding in June!



     
Expect most of my posts to be like this in the near future. Wedding season is upon us! Commercial and personal work takes a bit of a back seat during this time.
